Orvian documentation

One fixed-price lot. Collective funding.

Orvian is designed for a Stock Token holder selling an exact lot and buyers willing to share that lot at one total USDG price. It is an escrow-and-settlement product, not a lending market or passive yield pool.

Deal lifecycle

  1. Create. The seller selects an eligible Stock Token, lot quantity, total USDG price, minimum contribution and deadline. The contract must receive the exact lot before the offer is visible.
  2. Commit. Buyers approve and transfer USDG to the deal. The final commitment cannot exceed the remaining price. Commitments stay escrowed until full funding or expiry.
  3. Settle or return. Full funding fixes each buyer’s token claim and lets the seller collect USDG. If the deadline passes first, buyers withdraw their USDG and the seller withdraws the unchanged lot.

Allocation

Each buyer’s Stock Token claim is proportional to their accepted USDG commitment. The contract allocates raw token units using cumulative rounding, so the full escrowed lot is accounted for without an arbitrary last-claimer bonus. Token claims and seller proceeds are withdrawn by their owners after funding.

There is no price feed in the initial settlement rule. The fixed deal price is chosen by the seller; buyers decide whether to accept it. It may be above or below other market prices.

Asset eligibility

The public testnet currently uses publicly mintable test USDG and a test Stock Token. Both have no value and are not canonical mainnet assets. For any mainnet release, the allowlist must contain verified canonical Stock Token contracts and canonical USDG. Addresses, transfer behavior, issuer restrictions and decimals must be checked before enabling an asset. A token symbol alone is not proof of authenticity.

Orvian is independent of Robinhood and does not create rights beyond those of an underlying Stock Token.

Terms and risks

Stock Tokens provide economic exposure under their issuer’s terms; they are not necessarily direct share ownership. Their market value can change before, during and after a deal. A fixed seller price can become unattractive. There may be no buyers to fill a lot, no secondary liquidity, or issuer-level transfer restrictions.

Escrow and token transfers carry smart-contract risk. The current Orvian contract has not had an independent security audit. A nonstandard or paused token can impede transfers even if the contract logic is correct. Buyers’ USDG is locked until funding or expiry; full funding cannot be reversed by a buyer simply because the price moved. Failed deals require each participant to claim a return transaction.

No yield, guaranteed fill, guaranteed exit price or capital protection is promised. Stock Token offers and sales are restricted in some jurisdictions. Read the issuer and eligibility information for each Stock Token and verify contract addresses in the wallet before signing.

Current availability

The public testnet app uses test assets only. Its Orvian market contract, test USDG and test Stock Token are deployed on Robinhood Chain testnet (chain ID 46630). The test tokens are publicly mintable and have no value. Orvian is not deployed on mainnet.
